Dr Huveneers is a research leader with the Southern Shark Ecology Group at Flinders University.  Anthropogenic activities are dramatically changing marine ecosystems. Wildlife tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the tourism industry and has the potential to modify the natural environment and behaviour of the species it targets.  The Southern Shark Ecology Group has been investigating the ecological effects and socio-economic benefits of the white shark cage-diving industry for nearly 10 years.
